We are so excited that you have decided to apply to one of our creative retreats!
To apply, please fill out the form below. Note that one of the fields below requests a link to a work sample. Please provide a link in this field to a sample of your work. Samples could include a writing sample, link to photos of your visual art or recordings of your music. If you are not sure how to provide a link to the work you do, please contact us. Note that the goal of requesting samples is not to judge the quality of your work. Rather, we want to understand your medium and your practice. We have also provided a field to add links to other relevant locations such as your website, social media, blog, publications, etc.
Here is some basic information about we handle applications:
We review all applications in a timely fashion. Trust us, we are just as excited as you are about applications!
Because our goal is a diverse mix of creators, each retreat has limited slots for folks working in a given discipline.
Application phases:
Pre-application: Email subscribers (subscribe here!) can pre-apply for retreats as soon as we announce dates. If we accept your pre-application, we will hold a slot for you at that retreat for a $50 pre-deposit (and you will pay the early-bird rate!). Note: There is no pre-application period for the Fall 2025 mini-retreat.
Early-bird application: Email subscribers can apply for open slots during early-bird application period. Once an early-bird application is accepted, you can hold your spot in the retreat by paying the deposit. Those with accepted pre-applications will pay the deposit at this time.
Standard application: All others can apply during the standard application period. Once your application is accepted, you can hold your spot in the retreat by paying the deposit.
Waiting List: If all of the slots that match your creative discipline are full, we can put you on the waiting list for that retreat. This is true regardless of the phase above.
