Tangled up in Blue
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2026 | 10:00AM to 3:00PM | COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
We are so excited for this workshop on Saturday! We’ve spent ages experimenting with different projects, gathering materials, and hoping for sun (though we have a backup plan!). In this cyanotype workshop, we’ll begin with learning the process: mixing the light-sensitive solution, preparing the paper, creating text strips for exposure time, arranging materials, making prints, and then rinsing them to watch the beautiful blue emerge. After making these first silhouettes with botanicals and simple objects, we’ll work with photographic negatives and other tools for creating unique images. We’ll also play with a variety of surfaces for printing, from paper to fabric to stone to clay. After several hours of play, we will share a potluck meal and our creative experiments.
For more information and to sign up, check out the event page on our website! Fort Collins friends, if you’d like to carpool, send us a message! Can’t wait to see you there!

Stories on the Fly: An Exploration in Improv
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2026 | 5:30PM to 8:30PM | FORT COLLINS, CO
We are thrilled to announce this special evening in which we’ll be using improv games to foster our creativity, teamwork, trust, and empathy while also increasing our insight into the human experience, which is (of course!) essential to all art forms. We’ll be guided by the inimitable Robin Faris: warm, funny, creative, and immensely talented.
We’ll begin the evening with a potluck meal and conversation, then we’ll dive into a playful, one-of-a-kind, only-in-this-moment, only-with-these-people experinece. For more information and to sign up, check out the event page on our website!
We are excited to be partnering with Writing Heights Writers Association for this event. Members can contact that organization for information about a discount.
